The awards are intended to recognize and honor MACUL members who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in implementing the use of technology to improve education.
The outstanding technology-using pre-K-12 classroom teacher award is targeted for pre-K-12 classroom teachers. The outstanding technology-using educator award is designated for people such as media specialists, university and college staff, computer coordinators, teacher trainers, etc.
All the upcoming 2012 award winners will receive a paid conference fee and a hotel room for the 2012 MACUL conference, as well as one year's free membership to MACUL.
Purpose: To encourage and support members interested in promoting effective instructional uses of the computer or related-equipment.
Grant Goal: Each project should focus on an instructional use of the computer or related equipment, which has the potential of being replicated in other educational settings.
Grant Limit per Application: $1,500
Eligible Applicants: MACUL members who are classroom teachers, coordinators, administrators, or higher education personnel. MACUL Grant recipients from the last two years are ineligible to apply.
