MACUL is looking for new logo ideas and is asking the students of Michigan to give it their best shot!  Can you design a logo that highlights the mission of Michigan’s largest educational technology association?

Our mission is: MACUL ignites learning through meaningful collaboration and innovation.

The student whose logo is chosen to most effectively represent the MACUL organization will receive a certificate of recognition and have their logo highlighted at the annual MACUL Conference in Grand Rapids on March 7-9, 2012.

Submissions should be sent as a high-resolution JPG image file to logocontest@macul.org. Please include the following: Student Name, Teacher, School Building, and District.  The deadline for all submissions is February 17, 2012.

Logos will be judged according to the following criteria:
  1. Memorable
    The logo should be easily recognized as representing MACUL and should not be confused with other organizations.
  2. Effective without color
    The logo should be equally clear in both color and black and white representations.
  3. Scalable
    The logo should be easily recognized whether displayed small or large.
  4. Relevant
    The logo is tied to the purpose of MACUL as one of the nation's leading educational technology organizations.
  5. Describable
    The logo is easily describable in a single sentence, not too abstract or busy.


Questions regarding the Student Logo Contest can be emailed to logocontest@macul.org.  MACUL reserves the right to modify any submitted designs and is not bound to utilize any submissions in official publications or other material.  If selected, the logo becomes property of MACUL.
