Proving Technology Works: Action Research Opportunity
In conjunction with SIGPL's Action Research Award, a maker of student response systems is willing to partner with a teacher(s) for an action research project. Devices will be provided for your research project and once the study is successfully completed the company will gift the student response system to you. Proving Technology Works: Action Research Award
It is time to begin thinking about the MACUL SIGPL Action Research Award for 2012. SIGPL sponsors this award to showcase the effectiveness of educational technology. We hope teachers will share there classroom experiences with others. Winners receive $500.00 and a chance to present their findings to conference attendees. Submissions are open to everyone (winners must become MACUL members). Submission deadline is January 27, 2012. Visit our Action Research Award page for more details.
Proving Technology Works: Action Research Roundtable
SIGPL will again host a session at the annual MACUL conference for sharing action research related to technology. Bring your work to share with others. If competition is not your cup of tea, this may be the forum for you to share what you have learned with your action research. SIGPL is pleased to provide a forum for education technology action research. Contact Sandra Plair, MACUL Board Member about reserving a spot to present your work. The Action Research Award was created to encourage classroom teachers to document the efficacy of educational technology. It was created as away to validate the cost of technology, support research goals to identify the effectiveness of technology integration on student learning, and encourage professional development needed for teacher technology fluency.
