An overview of the policies and procedures that should be in place, including: Acceptable Use Policies (AUP), network policies, e-mails, filtering of network, listserves, laptops, copyright, licensing, and software selection policies. The program will also cover asset management, Web publishing and the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA.)

Session 2: Working With Contractors (MSBO Required STM course)

This session is the logistics of integrating technology into a learning environment
and creating a school that is student centered and teacher friendly. An
overview of the Michigan laws, bidding requirements, electrical and construction
codes, plan review requirements, and practical implications of working with
contractors on technology integration projects will also be discussed.

Session 3: iOS for IT

You will get hands-on experience with the new MDM service built into Lion Server.
